The problem with depression is

lifeaccordingtohan:

-You know you’ll be ok, but you still feel awful.
-You know people love you, but it doesn’t feel like they do.
-You know doing something will make you feel better, but you just don’t know how to.
-You want to be well, but you just can’t seem to get there.

The relevance.

Okay anon, let me stop giggling for a little bit and explain to you what happened.

"DashCon 2014": Was supposed to be a large con of mostly Tumblr users with a 65$ entry fee. They were going to host it in a Hotel in Schaumburg, IL. It looked like a fairly legit con to most users and promised to have Steam Punk Giraffe and Welcome to Night Vale show up for entertainment and panels. Steam Punk Giraffe canceled it’s trip to Dashcon months ago but the Con never told the people who already invested money into it, especially the people who paid extra for reserved seating. Welcome to Night Vale didn’t show up because they didn’t get their payment for the trip and thus didn’t go. Dashcon “apparently” got a call from the hotel telling them that the room they reserved would cost $17,000 and didn’t receive their payment. Dashcon then rallied up it’s participants for a fundraiser in 2 days to raise that money.

Well…They did. Where that money is now, no one knows. People showed up to a very empty room with no vendors. Someone bought a ball pit and rented a bounce house for the con and the people who reserved seats for the panels got an extra hour in the ball pit.

for anyone confused about what’s going on

oh my god

That sucks so hard

I just realized, it wasn’t a convention at all. It was literally a con.

DashCon. It makes sense now.

I’m crying for all of you

So every morning I get off the train and start my 20 minute walk to work, and there’s this guy who’s always like 3 steps ahead of me and always beats me to the street corner bc I get stopped by the light and he passes it. but today I was ahead of him for the first time and he RUNS in front of me, turns around and goes “I’ve been winning for 2 months now, can’t stop now, have a good day, see you tomorrow.”  tmrw I swear i’m wearing running shoes to work.

Yea it’s clearly our “generation that’s making homosexuality a trend.” Seriously, pisses me off when people say that. look at this! It’s always been around, it’s not a trend, it’s real. It’s beautiful.

These are really beautiful images.

History Lesson: In America from about 1700-1920 there was a social rule that said that women did not have a sex drive. According to men, all women ever were asexual and only ever had sex because their husbands wanted it and as a good doting wife they would open up for him. That said, lesbians flourished in this time! Because it was believed that women did not have sex, when two women would share a house and finances together (called a Boston Marriage, look it up!) nobody thought anything of it. Because clearly they werent homosexuals since clearly women were incapable of being independently sexual. The more you know!
